As the core carrier for the installation of network equipment, the design of floor-standing network cabinets must take into account safety, functionality and adaptability. The main characteristics are as follows.
Structure and material: Mostly made of cold-rolled steel plates or alloy materials, some outdoor models can be made of stainless steel or PC/ABS alloy materials, with physical properties such as vibration resistance, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance, while the durability and aesthetics are improved through plastic spraying.
Technical performance: With good electromagnetic isolation, noise isolation and ventilation and heat dissipation design, some high-end models have passed international standard certification (such as BS15954, IEC197-2), can adapt to -40℃~+70℃ operating temperature range, meet the harsh environmental requirements such as dustproof, waterproof, and radiation proof.
Standardized size: Follows the 19-inch equipment installation standard, with height in "U" units (1U=1.75 inches), and common specifications include 22U, 42U, etc.; width is mostly 600mm or 800mm, and depth varies significantly - network cabinets are usually less than 800mm, while server cabinets are mostly above 900mm.
Flexible configuration capability: Supports switchable installation between casters and support feet, some models provide detachable side doors and front and rear doors, and sufficient wiring space is reserved inside. It is compatible with a variety of fiber optic adapters such as FC, SC, and ST, and supports external operation of splice trays for easy construction and maintenance.
